The STEMinist Project

Why does the world need more women in STEM?

Women account for only 22% of the workforce in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.  The numbers are drastically lower for minorities, and extremely disproportionate in specific industries within the STEM fields.

Let's face it-  technology is becoming more and more heavily integrated into our society.  If women account for nearly 75% of consumer spending in the US alone, it would be ideal for the creators of products and experiences to be diverse in terms of gender, race, and ethnic background.

The STEMinist Project was created by Naomi Thomas and Stevee Cotton, tech entrepreneurs located in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Support the STEMinist movement by purchasing a t-shirt.  Your efforts to make change will be converted into real change as a percentage of each sale contributes to a scholarship fund for women in STEM!
